How to Praise Your Filipina Wife
One way to love your wife is to praise her for what you appreciate her for. The bible says not to praise yourself (Proverbs 27:2) so you’ll need to praise her.
You don’t want someone else praising her more than you do. If you like praise then your wife will too. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself… Ephesians 5:33.
Here are some ways to show loving praise to your wife. An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.
Proverbs 12:4 (tell her you see her excellent qualities) He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD.
Proverbs 18:22 (remind her of the good she does for you and others) A kindhearted woman gains honor…
Proverbs 11:16 (the kind works she does for you and others) The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.
Proverbs 14:1 (compliment her on her wisdom in making a happy home in any way) Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, 2 when they see the purity and reverence of your lives.
1 Peter 3:1-2 (compliment her for a godly life style, the kind that a man can see Christ-like behavior in) The older women are to teach which is good-
4 Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children,
5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. Titus 2:3-5 (for her love, for her self-control -any kind-her godly qualities, her industriousness, kindness, submission to her husband) I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10 but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God. 11 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 1 Timothy 2:9-11 (her tasteful dress and good deeds). My wife is not a show off, despite having a nice little figure. The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” Genesis 2:18 (tell her how much you need her) Proverbs 31- 10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. (satisfaction, fulfillment, needs are met) 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. (little things, big things) 13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. (good attitude, hard work) 14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. (good choices of food) 15 She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. (you notice how hard she works) 16
She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. (good with money, sees needs and ways to meet them) 17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. (good work ethic) 18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. (makes wise decisions) 19 In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. 20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. (how she helps the poor)
21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. (how she cares for the family) 22 She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. (she married someone with character) 24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. (industrious, helps others) 25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. (strength of character, how she carries herself, she isn’t living for the day, she sees and plans ahead) 26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. (her wisdom, any) 27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. (again, her tireless work ethic)-Make sure you give her rest! 28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: (so many good, helpful qualities) 29 “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” I tell my wife “no man has it better”. 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. (her spiritual qualities and relationship with the Lord) 31 Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. (Honor her-be grateful, do something for her to show her your appreciation)
A wise husband will praise his Love Beyond The Sea.
