HR 4643 10 Year Immigration Moratorium Right or Wrong?

Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona is sponsoring a bill that would set a 10-year moratorium on LEGAL immigration to the United States of America.

“We can’t have legal immigration when we have rampant illegal alien invaders,” Gosar continued. “This is a threat to our national security and our economy and to our citizens.” Gosar highlighted that with millions of Americans, including veterans, “now unemployed, homeless, or living in poverty, we need to take care of one another before we allow millions to migrate here. Time to pause migration to America and figure out how to put the American people first.”

My wife and I would like to petition some siblings to America and would expect up to 20 years or more for that to happen, as it stands. We would like that to happen much sooner. I have contacted my representative in Washington about what can be done to speed up immigration of Filipino siblings since so many Filipinos are petitioned to the United States each year. A 10-year moratorium might be the death knell for those plans.
