Don’t worry, Be Thankful, Love, God is good. These Bible verses helped me survive 30 years of singleness. Isaiah 43:1-2-But now, this says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob. And He who formed you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8-Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. 1 Peter 4:8-Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Ephesians4:2,3-With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 5:20-Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:18-In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Chronicles 16:34-Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 100:4-Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. (his name is about his character)
Philippians 4:6-Be not anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Job 1:21:-The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord. Psalm 145:3-Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. Psalm 143:8-10-Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning, for in thee do I trust: Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for I lift up my soul unto you…Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. Psalm 118:24-This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. Phil. 4:4-Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say, rejoice. Psalm 68:3-Exceedingly rejoice. 2Timothy 1:7-For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 1John4:18-There is no fear in love, perfect loves casts out fear. (I shouldn’t fear that I was still single) Matthew 6:25-Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink, nor yet for your body, what you will put on. (If god is concerned about the very basic necessities, surely he is concerned about the “bigger” things, like relationships; marriage)
John14:27-Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Nehemiah 9:5-6-Blessed be your glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise. “You are the Lord, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you. Psalm 73:25- Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
