The Ultimate Alpha Male is Getting Married (for "Christian MGTOWs"

I don’t know how this video is going to go over but there is something I feel compelled to comment on. That is the idea or thought that an alpha male doesn’t marry, or doesn’t get close to women, doesn’t listen to her or doesn’t sacrifice to meet her needs. First, here is a definition of an alpha male: A man tending to assume a dominant or domineering role in social or professional situations.

I am especially bewildered but not amused by the term “Christian MGTOW”, or the bizarre claim that Jesus was MGTOW or that the apostle Paul was a MGTOW. Nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus said he only did the will of his father and Paul said he was in imitator of Christ. I know there is an attempt these days to justify staying single, and to denigrate women in general, but it certainly doesn’t come from the Bible and Jesus is not your example of a man going his own way. I don’t have confidence I can persuade MGTOWs in general but someone who calls themselves a Christian MGTOW, I’d like to think if you have an open mind, you can see that the term is an oxymoron and therefore false.

I can’t think of a more alpha male than the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no one more dominant than the Son of God himself and the Bible tells us he is going to consummate a marriage with his bride the church someday. If anyone didn’t need a wife it would be him. All authority in heaven and earth has been given to him, YET, he sought to suffer and pay for the sins of a sinful, rebellious bride, because he was compelled to, because he is love. Being the most powerful one in the world doesn’t mean there is a lack of compassion and a willingness to sacrifice, to die for another. If you are a Christian male, this is part of your maleness.

If you are not familiar with the Bible then if you keep listening, maybe you will be able to appreciate that being an alpha male is not exclusive from making sacrifices in marriage. There is a movement today to spurn marriage because of all the problems resulting from troubled marriages. I get that some actions like unfaithfulness are likely to end up terminating a marriage. I understand that the Bible tells us there will be troubles in the flesh when two people get married (and should get married).

For what it’s worth I want to show how unbelievable yet true it is of Jesus being the supreme ruler of the universe, yet getting married, in fact, this is WHY he came into the world in the first place-to get a bride by paying for all her sins in enduring the wrath of his father for the sins of his bride. His bride is far from perfect or a finished product. That bride is all believers, all Christians. The Bible says Christ died for us while we were yet sinners.

Jesus is eternal-John 8:58, “Before Abraham was born, I am.” John 17:5 says he had glory with the father before the world began.

Creator-Colossians 1:16 says by him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things have been created through him and for him. John 1:3 says all things came into being through him, and apart from him nothing came into being that has come into being.

He is powerful-Hebrews 1:3 says he upholds all things by the word of his power. That means the entire universe with its billions of galaxies. Colossians 1:17 says He is before all things and in him all things hold together. Again, the whole universe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until he decides differently.

He has all authority-John 17:2 says Jesus has authority over all flesh. Matthew 28:18 says all authority has been given unto Jesus in heaven and on earth. Acts 10:36 says he is Lord of all. Romans 9:5 says he is “over all”. Colossians 2:10 says he is head of all principality and power.

Don’t think he’s some dummy-Colossians 2:3 describes Jesus this way-In him are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden. Now, if the most dominant, authoritative, powerful person in the world, yet the wisest, can come into this world to get a bride, then why would a lowly human being avoid marriage? This may sound stupid to you. I want to at least make you think a little.

He didn’t have any good choices either. Just us sinners. He wanted to give us a better life, an everlasting life, but for one thing, he would have to endure hell for those who believe in him. Now that’s love. He was perfectly selfless. He knew an eternity before he came into this world that one day, he was going to pay for all her sins by becoming cursed for her. Is this something a human being has to endure in marriage? Hardly. It can be bad but the most powerful person in the universe stooped much lower and endured much more than any of us ever will in pursuing his bride, again referred to as the church. He is described as the bridegroom in John 3:29 and Mark 2:19. The church is the bride of Christ in Ephesians 5:25-27 and Revelation 21:9. The eternal union of Christ and his bride will be actualized as written in Revelation 19:7-10, and 21:1-2.

2 Corinthians 11:2 says “For I have a divine jealousy for you, since I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. One day it will be like Revelation 21:9 says-“Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the lamb”.

To accomplish this, this alpha male faced the full fury of the wrath of God his father, for the sins of his bride the church. That means an eternity in hell for an innumerable number of people, such as you and I. The Bible says that Jesus “became sin”, which is unimaginable since he was perfect in every way.

Did Jesus need a wife? Do you need a wife? He did not, it is just that his divine love compelled him to selflessly do what only he could do and what only he would want to do, because of his love. He laid down his life willingly, and the Bible says “for the joy set before him, enduring the cross”.

Do you need a wife? According to the Bible, if you are tempted sexually then you need a wife. Yes, that would be most men, the exception being someone God has given the spiritual gift of singleness to. That is the ability to live your whole life without sex, without frustration, by your choice, solely for the kingdom of God. This is often for evangelism.

Jesus’ marriage will be the most pure, selfless one of all time. He did it for her. He wanted to not only pay for her sins but give her an abundant life for all eternity. He wanted community.

You could reason that Jesus didn’t have to marry. Why should he die a “million deaths” for a sinful bride? It was because of love. He had every right to say “Forget it, not me, what do I have to do with them?!” He didn’t marry because he was weak and foolish. He knew what he was doing, and he was giving us an example to follow!

Because we are made in the image of God, we were meant for community as well, and that includes marriage, which is God’s idea. God gave the first man Adam a wife after less than a day of being alive. Adam didn’t even get to date Eve, God just created her from him and for him. That is a perpetual concept-men need wives unless they have the gift of singleness.

History began with a sinless marriage in the Garden of Eden, and a new history, a perfect history will begin with a sinless marriage, in heaven.

People identifying themselves as “Christian MGTOWs” can not seriously say they are relating to Jesus somehow in his singleness, that he went his own way.

Today’s alpha males do their own thing and may even take advantage of women. Perhaps it is time for men who think they are strong to be like Christ, and marry an imperfect bride and take care of her. This is what the most dominant and powerful man in the world is going to do. A woman is designed to be a helper to man as it is, so that is a good thing, God planned it that way.

If you are against this, are you wiser than God? Are you saying that the most alpha male ever is foolish and that you are wiser? If you fancy yourself an alpha male, then you are someone who wants to meet the needs of a woman in marriage. Why, because God himself is your example. He didn’t shy away from a relationship that would grieve him, which is what our sins do to God, the Bible says it grieves the Holy Spirit. Yet, Jesus said he will never leave us nor forsake us (his bride). That is what an alpha does. He uses his strength to help a woman.

When a man marries a woman, he will have conflict from time to time. It may even get ugly. This is the way it is with Jesus and his betrothed, bride-to-be, the church. You will experience what he experiences, but he experiences it much more often. Having said that, those he has saved can actually please God with their lives at times.

Jesus lived an eternity before he even came to earth. He has no needs, but we as men do have needs and one of them is marriage because of the needs it can meet. I thank you for indulging me to this point. If anyone had an excuse to not marry it would be Jesus but he lived his human life single so that he could focus on his eternal bride one day. That’s what I want to get across.

To close I want to point out some other aspects of Jesus Christ that make him an alpha male. He is a judge-Matthew 7:23 says we will be judged by our relationship to him. Luke 14:26 says Jesus required the forsaking of everything which may prove a hindrance to follow him.

He has a kingdom in Matthew 13:41. Revelation 19:16 calls him King of kings and Lord of lords. Acts 10:42 he is called the judge of the living and the dead.

He has power over nature, disease, death, evil spirits. Hebrews 1:8 says Jesus is God-But of the son he says “Thy throne O, God, is for ever and ever. The righteous scepter is the scepter of thy kingdom. Despite being so powerful, so alpha, he was compassionate, a servant, loving, forgiving, gently, patient and humble.

Jesus is the ultimate alpha male and the ultimate, consummate husband all at the same time. Just something to think about.
