I took for granted what it would be like for my wife to immigrate to America to be with me. Sure I thought she'd be happy and excited for her new life, but what about all the changes she might struggle with? Different currency, new people, starting over with friends, different weather, new job and not being around your family are tough to deal with for a Filipina who has married a foreigner and moved to his country.
